Job Description: Design, enhancement and support of enterprise software on PowerBuilder, serving a financial markets context. End-to-end involvement, from analysis of business needs to rollout in production, alongside business users, project managers and QA colleagues.
Must-Have
- 5+ years of professional PowerBuilder development, with PowerScript, DataWindow and DataStores
- Solid command of relational databases and SQL, with stored procedures and query tuning
- Proven track record in financial markets projects
- Working knowledge of financial instruments and how a trade moves through its lifecycle
- Hands-on production support and troubleshooting in critical environments
- Git for version control
- Familiarity with n-tier application design
- Sharp analytical thinking, clear communication and thorough documentation
- Fluent Portuguese and English, written and spoken
- Exposure to recent PowerBuilder releases, namely 2019 and 2022
- Background in upgrading, migrating or modernizing existing applications
- Web services and integration, including REST, SOAP, JSON and XML
- Agile and Scrum methodologies, plus CI/CD practices
