Swisscom

Remoto

WHO WE ARE?

Being the daughter company of Swisscom, we share our parent company’s values, vision and goals. Swisscom is Switzerland’s leading telecommunications and IT company and one of the most sustainable and innovative companies in the country.

We are a trustworthy and efficient IT service partner for Swisscom, creating valuable customer experiences in close collaboration with our partners in Switzerland. We want to attract and retain high performers who make a difference.

We are expanding our presence in Lisbon and are hiring four DevOps Engineers to build the Lisbon side of the Ephor team, working hands-on on the stability, automation and release quality of a live Swisscom platform.

If you are driven, curious and want to grow with us, join us and help shape our future.

The team / project

You will join the Ephor team, a distributed agile engineering team responsible for platform operations, automation, release validation and quality engineering. The core team of around 12 engineers is based in Switzerland, supported by a partner team in India, with stakeholders across several locations and time zones. You will be part of a new group of four engineers in Lisbon.

The role is hands-on and varied: you will keep the platform stable, build automated tests and make sure every change reaches production safely.

It is a strong growth path towards DevOps, SRE and test-automation expertise, with room to shape modern practices such as SLOs, monitoring and AI-assisted testing. This is an internal Swisscom platform, not a consulting project.

What you’ll do

  • Environments: Maintain and operate the lab, testing and pre-production environments the team relies on every day.
  • Monitoring & SLOs: Monitor platform health, analyse operational metrics and contribute to defining and meeting service-level objectives.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues that affect platform functionality and end-to-end testing.
  • Release validation: Validate and promote changes across environments so the team can deliver reliably.
  • Test automation: Develop and improve automated testing and release-validation capabilities, from API to end-to-end tests.
  • Release & quality: Support release activities, quality assurance and continuous improvement across distributed teams.
  • Operational support: Take part in 24/7 support and on-call duties when required, with occasional work outside regular office hours.
  • Collaboration: Work daily with colleagues in Switzerland, India and the US, clarifying requirements and contributing to shared decisions.
