Accountant - Parque das Nações

We are looking for a hands-on accounting professional who combines strong technical foundations with curiosity, resilience, and a continuous improvement mindset.

A multinational retail company based in Portugal, located in Parque das Nações, Lisbon.

Principais responsabilidades

• Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, acting as the key liaison between the local finance team and the Group Shared Service Center;
• Managing thefull accounting cycle (A to Z) for the Portuguese entity, ensuring compliance with Portuguese accounting and tax regulations;
• Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, as well as statutory reporting requirements;
• Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements in accordancewith Portuguese GAAP (SNC);
• Acting asthemain point ofcontactwith the Group Shared Service Center, ensuring process alignment, data accuracy,and effective communication;
• Reviewing accounting records, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance;
• Monitoring and validating accounting activities performed by the Shared Service Center, ensuring the quality and integrity of financial information;
• Reconciling local and Group chart of accountsand supporting the accuracyof financial reporting;
• Supporting taxcompliance obligations, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and other statutory requirements;
• Assisting with internal and external audits and ensuring adherence to Group policies and internal controls;
• Preparing financial analyses, management reports, and ad-hoc information to support business decision-making;
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and contributing to finance transformation initiatives;
• Collaborating with stakeholders across Europe and Asia while progressively assuming greater autonomy as a trusted business partner to the Finance Manager.

Perfil desejado

• Certified Accountant (mandatory);
• Morethan5yearsofprofessional experience in accounting roles;
• Previous experience within multinational companies;
• Experience working with oralongside Shared Service Centers;
• Strongknowledge ofPortuguese GAAP (SNC) and local tax regulations;
• Experience supporting accounting closing processes and statutory reporting;
• Advanced Excelskills;
• Fluent English, both written and spoken (mandatory);
• Stronganalytical and critical thinking skills;
• Ability to navigate complex processes and work with different accounting frameworks;
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities;
• Resilience, autonomy, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset.
