Global Payroll Process Lead (f/m/d)
Siemens Energy
As the Global Payroll Service Lead you will be accountable for defining the global Payroll service, protecting the process and control framework, and acting as the permanent global business owner for Payroll service governance after go-live. You will ensure that Payroll service is transferred from the current delivery model into the future Siemens Energy environment while remaining compliant, accurate, timely and auditable.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Define and maintain the global Payroll service scope, service catalogue, critical process inventory and ownership model and validate that Payroll processes, country specifics, handover documents, operational dependencies and local deviations are captured before transition.
- Act as design authority for Payroll standards, controls, exception principles and decision rights during the lift-and-drop phase.
- Partner with Transformation and SSC readiness teams to confirm payroll readiness by country, provider, process and control area and review and escalate payroll risks that could impact employee pay, statutory compliance, finance posting, payment execution or audit evidence.
- Own the end-to-end global Payroll service on behalf of the Governance organization and govern SSC and vendor delivery against Payroll standards, service expectations, controls and agreed KPIs.
- Approve global Payroll process changes, local deviations and service model updates where governance approval is required.
- Maintain strategic roadmap for Payroll service evolution after stabilization and transformation start and provide expert input to acquisitions, country moves, vendor changes, system changes and regulatory impacts.
- Deep end-to-end Payroll experience (5 years +) across multi-country, outsourced, co-sourced or shared service environments on global scale.
- Strong knowledge of payroll controls, statutory requirements, payroll calendars, sign-off, payment controls and post-payroll activities.
- Experience governing vendors, shared services, regions and country teams through clear service ownership methods.
- Ability to translate operational complexity into global standards, issue decisions and pragmatic governance guardrails.
- Strong stakeholder management across HR, Finance, Tax, Treasury, IT, Compliance and external providers
