Role Requirements
- intermediate+ level (Must-have)
- technical application support or L2/L3 support (Must-have)
- B2B SaaS product operations experience (Must-have)
- solid SQL (Must-have)
- relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL (Must-have)
- REST APIs (Must-have)
- tools like Postman or similar (Must-have)
- methodical troubleshooting (Must-have)
- clear communication with customers and technical teams (Must-have)
- organization to manage multiple requests simultaneously (Must-have)
- experience with payment systems or transactional flows (Nice-to-have)
- observability tools such as Sentry or CloudWatch (Nice-to-have)
- AWS (Nice-to-have)
- Node.js for reading stack traces (Nice-to-have)
- scripting in Python, Bash or JavaScript (Nice-to-have)
Application support role, acting as the technical bridge between support and engineering. The work is hands-on and investigative: taking tickets end to end, diagnosing incidents from logs and SQL, handling payment and integration issues, and escalating the deepest code-related cases with evidence.
The team supports a distributed production environment for VendIoT, an IoT platform used across vending machines, EV chargers, smart fridges and other equipment in Portugal and Spain. Success means resolving technically demanding cases with rigor, keeping customers informed, and helping improve the system through better runbooks, alerts and internal tooling.
