AI Solution Architect and Product Owner – Cost Value Engineering

Siemens Energy

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the AI Solution Architect and Product Owner – Cost Value Engineering (CVE), you are the technical anchor of a newly launched, high-impact AI initiative within our global procurement and engineering function. You design and own the localized, high-performance architecture required to execute complex, end-to-end engineering AI solutions. Operating as the definitive bridge between our specialized business needs and Central IT’s secure environment, you govern the technical backlog, steer development, and architect the integrations that power our tools. You ensure our AI solutions are scalable, secure, and directly drive business value for our engineering community and beyond.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Establish & Own Local CVE AI Platform: Build and govern the dedicated environment hosting our specialized AI applications and intelligent agents.
  • Architect Specialized Integration: Connect Central IT’s secure LLMs to localized engineering databases and low-code platforms, maximizing component reuse.
  • Govern AI Deployments: Act as the technical tollgate for all releases. Ensure solutions meet Central IT standards and validate business ROI before launch.
  • Guide Decentralized Teams: Mentor business-driven use case teams. Translate complex engineering problems into actionable, logical agile sprints.
  • Enable Citizen Developers: Architect the foundational frameworks allowing domain experts to securely build, test, and deploy their own AI solutions.
  • Design Product Backlog: Translate macro-business requirements into clear technical deliverables and manage the delivery pipeline.
  • Drive AI Roadmap: Prioritize rapid, high-impact Proof of Concepts (POCs) to secure immediate wins, basing execution on technical feasibility and accurate effort estimation.

What You Bring

  • Master’s degree in computer science, IT Systems Engineering, or a highly relevant technical experience.
  • 5+ years of technical delivery experience, with a proven track record in software engineering, architecture, and driving agile AI/ML product lifecycles.
  • Strong Product Ownership credentials, specifically managing complex requirements pipelines, backlog refinement, and sprint executions.
  • Technical command of deploying modern AI frameworks (RAG, multi-agent architectures) within strict enterprise security boundaries.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, responsible AI practices, governance frameworks, security, compliance, and value realization.
  • Experience with cloud, data, and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric) and with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration is a plus.
  • Strong programming experience with Python and SQL with knowledge in API connectivity and backend services from development through deployment.
  • Knowledge of LLM integration techniques, including prompt engineering, RAG architectures, embeddings, and fine-tuning approaches.
  • Supply chain and/or manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
