KAM Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and resilient KAM Manager to join our Oncology team in Lisbon, Portugal.

The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the strategy of our Oncology Business Unit in Portugal, helping to strengthen our presence today while preparing for the future expansion of our portfolio.

Through the strategic management of key accounts team (oncology and hematology) at national level, you will help ensure that our innovative therapeutic solutions reach the patients who need them by building strong relationships and fostering high-quality scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications

  • University degree in Health Sciences, Management, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in Oncology or specialized hospital therapeutic areas.
  • Proven track record in Key Account Management, hospital sales, or strategic client management.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven performance analysis.
  • Previous people management experience is highly valued.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory).

Department: Oncology Business Unit

Reports to: Oncology Business Unit Director

Direct Reports: Key Account Managers

Job Purpose

Lead, develop and empower the Oncology Key Account Management team, ensuring effective execution of the Business Unit strategy, excellence in strategic account management and the development of sustainable, value-based relationships with key healthcare stakeholders.

Contribute to the sustainable growth of the Oncology business by ensuring a strong understanding of account needs, opportunities and barriers, while fostering cross-functional collaboration and maintaining the highest ethical, regulatory and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach and develop the KAM team, fostering accountability, collaboration and performance.
  • Together with the BU Head, set objectives and regularly review performance.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, best practices and a strong team culture.

Strategic Account Management

  • Ensure effective execution of the Oncology BU strategy across priority accounts.
  • Guide the development and execution of Account Plans, with a strong understanding of key stakeholders, needs and opportunities.
  • Support KAMs in complex accounts and strategic stakeholder engagement.

Business Performance & Execution Excellence

  • Monitor team and account performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure effective coverage and prioritisation of key accounts.
  • Contribute to segmentation, targeting and resource allocation.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, the BU Head and other functions to ensure an integrated approach.
  • Bring field and customer insights into strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to BU planning and launch readiness.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure team activities comply with legal, regulatory, ethical and compliance requirements.
  • Promote integrity, accountability and responsible business practices.
