As a Sales Executive, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Generate new business leads: Analyse local and national market trends and competitor activity to identify and develop new business opportunities, with a primary focus on the Corporate, Entertainment, and Sports segments.
- Grow customer accounts: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular follow-up and identifying opportunities to develop accounts, increase business, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate and contract effectively: Secure group and corporate bookings by negotiating rates and preparing contracts in line with pricing strategies
- Drive local marketing and commercial activity: Develop and implement initiatives tailored to the local market, while actively participating in client visits, workshops, trade fairs, and industry events. Strengthen client relationships, enhance the hotel’s market presence, and support the generation of new business opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with other hotel departments to develop exceptional guest experiences and build comprehensive sales programs
- Provide visibility into sales efforts: Maintain detailed records of sales activity and deliver timely updates to Sales leadership
- Respond to client enquiries: Handle customer questions and requests promptly and professionally to support conversion and satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Sales role within the hospitality/hotel industry;
- Fluency in spoken and written English;
- Valid driving licence and availability for frequent travel throughout Portugal;
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Results-oriented, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently;
- Proactive, commercially minded, and passionate about developing new business opportunities;
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and business partners;
- Ability to work collaboratively with different hotel departments to ensure successful business delivery.
- Availability for frequent travel;
- Flexibility to work different schedules when required by business needs;
