Job Description
We're looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Medior Atlassian Support Consultant to join our team in nearshore setup supporting our clients in the Netherlands. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, spending approximately 75–80% of your time on day-to-day Jira and JSM administration, configuration, and optimization, and 20–25% on advanced troubleshooting and complex client requirements. You will work closely with international teams to optimize Atlassian platforms, build tailored workflows, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage Atlassian user access, global permissions, permission schemes, and group administration (Atlassian Guard).
- Design, build, and customize Jira workflows using conditions, validators, and post functions to meet client requirements.
- Configure screens, screen schemes, custom fields, field contexts, and request types.
- Design, debug, and maintain automation rules to reduce repetitive tasks and integrate with external systems.
- Write advanced JQL queries to build filters, custom dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Configure Jira Service Management (JSM) assets, including customer forms, queues, request types, and SLA metrics.
- Troubleshoot board behavior, status mappings, ticket visibility, and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand technical requirements, optimize operational processes, and provide expert guidance.
- Maintain clear technical documentation for system configurations, process updates, and best practices.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience administering and configuring Atlassian products, specifically Jira Software and Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Strong technical proficiency in Jira workflow creation, screen schemes, custom field contexts, and JQL query writing.
- Proven experience in configuring JSM features such as SLAs, queues, forms, and service portal settings.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain Jira automation rules and troubleshoot complex system behaviors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong client-focused, advisory mindset.
- Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken) for daily interaction with international stakeholders.
- Genuine passion and curiosity for learning and growing within the Atlassian ecosystem.
- Experience with ScriptRunner or other Atlassian scripting tools is a strong plus.
- Prior experience working in a consulting or managed services environment is preferred.
