Database Administrator

Lisbon-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 days remote per week).

As a Mid-Level Database Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution committed to innovative digital solutions. You will support the implementation and documentation of security, supervision, backup, and restoration solutions, ensuring the highest standards of database availability and compliance with urbanization standards. Your work will enable seamless business operations and technological advancement across cloud environments and Big Data tools, fostering impactful digital transformation projects.

Your main responsibilities:

• Document and manage security, supervision, backup, and restoration solutions for databases.
• Support and ensure compliance with DEVOPS methodologies and city standards.
• Conduct technological surveillance on database tools, architectures, including Cloud and Big Data platforms.
• Coordinate with stakeholders (Studies, Production, Infrastructure, Security) to guarantee database availability.
• Assist business units in their projects by proposing and implementing architecture solutions aligned with infrastructure, operations, and security standards.
• Ensure tasks are carried out effectively, maintaining compliance with production commitments.
• Participate in HPO interventions and weekly on-call duty system to address ongoing operational needs.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in database administration Oracle RAC or related fields.
• Good shell experience.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based database solutions, Big Data platforms, and related architectures.
• Experience supporting security and backup/restoration solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and standards.
• Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure database availability.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Certifications in cloud platforms or database technologies.
• Experience with automation tools or scripting languages.

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent in English and Portuguese, with excellent communication skills.
