About The Company
Our client is a fast-growing company in the electric mobility and EV charging industry, building a network of charging infrastructure across Europe.
The company combines physical infrastructure, software platforms and digital products to make EV charging more accessible and integrated into people's everyday lives.
As the business continues to scale, they are now looking for a Product Director to lead the Product organisation and bring greater structure, consistency and impact to product decision-making.
The Role
As Product Director, you will own the Product organisation end-to-end, working across a broad product ecosystem that includes physical infrastructure, software platforms, customer-facing experiences and internal tools.
This is a senior leadership position for someone who has already managed Product Managers across multiple teams, rather than someone whose experience is primarily individual product ownership.
You will be responsible for defining the product strategy and operating model, developing the Product team, setting priorities across different product areas and ensuring that product decisions translate into measurable customer and business outcomes.
You will work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Operations and Commercial teams, while leading and developing Product Managers and Product Designers.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the Product organisation across strategy, roadmap, operating model and people development.
- Define priorities and make clear roadmap trade-offs across multiple product areas and cross-functional teams.
- Establish high standards across the entire product lifecycle: discovery, problem definition, specifications, delivery, measurement and post-launch learning.
- Lead, coach and develop Product Managers and Product Designers at different levels of seniority.
- Build a scalable product operating model that gives teams autonomy while keeping them aligned with company priorities.
- Ensure meaningful product launches have clearly defined success metrics and rigorous post-launch analysis.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Operations and Commercial teams.
- Connect customer needs and product decisions with measurable business outcomes.
- Improve the overall quality and maturity of product management across the organisation.
- 10+ years of relevant Product experience.
- Current or recent experience as a Head of Product, Product Director or equivalent senior Product leader.
- Proven experience managing Product Managers across several teams or product areas.
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching and developing senior Product professionals.
- Experience in a scale-up or similarly fast-growing environment.
- Experience with products where physical assets and software platforms intersect.
- Relevant industry exposure could include mobility, logistics, energy, rental, shared transportation or similar sectors.
- Strong experience with B2B products and internal tooling, alongside customer-facing products.
- Excellent prioritisation skills and experience making difficult roadmap decisions with limited resources.
- Strong data and measurement mindset, with the ability to define success metrics and evaluate product impact.
- Fluent English.
- Based in or able to work from Portugal.
- Marketplace or two-sided product experience.
- Experience transforming an ad hoc Product organisation into a structured and scalable operating model.
- Experience operating across complex products involving software, operations and physical infrastructure.
We're looking for a senior Product leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership.
You should be comfortable setting direction at company level while remaining close enough to the Product teams to challenge decisions, improve product craft and coach your team.
This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys joining a fast-growing environment where there is already significant scale, but where there is still an opportunity to build, structure and improve how Product operates.
