What Is This Challenge About
- Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure services and applications running on enterprise Linux platforms.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and cross-functional technical teams to deliver reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Manage infrastructure configurations and automation code using version control systems such as Git.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a strong focus on automation, operational efficiency, and platform reliability.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support production environments and ensure service availability.
- 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, particularly with enterprise distributions such as RHEL, Oracle Linux, or Rocky Linux.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server administration as a complementary skill.
- Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, including command-line administration, process management, file systems, permissions, and OS-level troubleshooting.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Bash/Shell, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git (GitHub, GitLab, or equivalent) following modern collaboration and code management practices.
- Good understanding of infrastructure technologies, including storage, virtualization, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls), and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, including incident investigation, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a strong focus on automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Living in Porto (hybrid role).
- Fluent level of English.
