Komodo Consulting is a technology and strategy firm specializing in Digital Transformation. Operating in Portugal and Poland, we provide IT Consulting & Nearshore services. We support both public and private sector organizations through two main areas:
- Consulting — with a focus on strategy, investment analysis, and digital process improvement;
- IT Team Augmentation — helping clients scale and strengthen their tech teams.
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to work on a Technology project.
You will have the following responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance;
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins;
- Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes;
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform;
- Set up and manage monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk;
- Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to ensure business data integrity;
- Collaborate effectively with developers and multidisciplinary teams, communicating technical information clearly and efficiently;
- Embed a security-first approach across all aspects of infrastructure design, implementation, and DevOps processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus);
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions;
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, with Azure being preferred (experience with other platforms is valued);
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes);
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform;
- Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins;
- In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk;
- Experience with networking concepts including vNet creation and configuration, subnets, routing, DNS, and peerings;
- Fluency in English; Portuguese language skills are a plus.
Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid - 2 days per week at the office. Candidates based outside Lisbon but within Portugal may work fully remote).
