Tasks

As a Material Planner, you coordinate materials for MRO activities and manage inventory to ensure availability and optimal stock levels, focusing on efficient solutions. Your role supports operational reliability through proactive planning and supply chain alignment.

Responsibilities and Tasks including but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure timely material supply to workshops; define stock quantity, location, and timing based on technical and economic factors
  • Proactively use sources like Surplus or PMA to prevent shortages and reduce costs
  • Maintain optimal balance between material availability and inventory, considering discounts, demand fluctuation, and lead times
  • Initiate procurement for repairs, using alternative suppliers where possible, request quotes and support negotiations
  • Monitor supplier compliance with contractual terms
  • Define initial provisioning for new aircraft components
  • Determine part interchangeability per aviation regulations
  • Actively contribute to LHT’s network
  • Perform special tasks and participate in projects

Requirements

We’re seeking a Material Planner to oversee materials for internal maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) tasks. You’ll manage inventory to maintain availability and optimal stock levels, ensuring efficient solutions that support seamless operational performance.

  • 1–3 years of experience
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a comparable discipline (not mandatory)
  • Good written and spoken Portuguese and English
  • Strong business sense and strategic thinking
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management and conceptual thinking
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Conflict management and initiative
  • Responsibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Intercultural awareness and teamwork
