The role - Head of Development

Responsibilities

As a Head of Development, you will grow, manage and lead a team of developers building multiple PwC products and client services. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Define engineering best practices, including AI‑assisted development guidelines, coding standards, and reference architectures
Setup solid DevOps and CI/CD blueprints and documentation templates
Manage web development projects and support business development efforts
Design product/ project architecture and create viable backlogs
Build and coach the team, providing technical hands-on support when needed.

Your profile

BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
More than 8 years of professional experience in Software Development
Strong track record of building and deploying enterprise-grade web applications, with hands-on experience in React/ TypeScript and .NET/ C#
Proven experience in deploying containerized services (e.g., Azure Container Apps) and working with Agile methodologies and DevOps tooling
Experience in technical team leadership in large corporate-grade projects
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Portuguese.
