Join us as a Regional Supplier Quality Engineer for Grid Technologies Service, where you will be instrumental in enhancing our global supplier network. Imagine working closely with regional procurement teams, project teams, and suppliers to ensure that they meet the highest quality, safety, and performance standards essential for supporting critical energy infrastructure worldwide. Your role will involve qualifying, assessing, and continuously improving supplier performance, contributing to reliable service delivery for our customers while supporting the energy transition through sustainable supply chains. Every day will bring new challenges as you collaborate with multicultural teams and engage with suppliers across global markets, all while driving Siemens Energy’s mission to deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Act as a trusted partner for Service Procurement and regional teams on all Supplier Quality Management related topics.
- Support the definition, implementation, and continuous improvement of Supplier Quality Management processes for Grid Technologies Service.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead supplier quality activities in cross-functional teams, supporting procurement, project, and business strategies.
- Perform supplier qualifications, audits, and assessments in accordance with internal standards, ISO requirements, and VDA 6.3 where applicable.
- Drive supplier development activities to improve quality performance, delivery reliability, and long-term supplier capability.
- Strong professional experience (at least 5 years) in supplier quality, quality engineering, project quality, or a related technical function.
- Experience in project business, energy, transmission, grid technologies, or comparable industrial environments.
- Sound knowledge of quality management, auditing, and supplier qualification processes; lead auditor or first and second party auditor experience for ISO 9001 is desirable.
- You have fluent English skills; proficiency in German and other languages is a plus.
