We are looking for a Data Architect to help shape the data foundation supporting sustainability reporting, product analytics, and strategic decision-making across Smart Infrastructure and Electrical Products organizations worldwide
This role combines deep technical expertise with business understanding, enabling the creation of scalable data products and analytics solutions that drive sustainability initiatives globally
Your Mission As a Data Architect for Sustainability, you will design, govern, and evolve enterprise data architectures supporting sustainability-related analytics and reporting. You will work with global stakeholders, connecting multiple business domains, SAP landscapes, and analytical platforms into a coherent data ecosystem You will act as a key integration point across sustainability initiatives, ensuring consistency, scalability, and data quality while enabling advanced insights and decision support
Your Responsibilities
- Design and maintain end-to-end data architectures for sustainability-related initiatives.
- Build and optimize data models and data products leveraging SAP and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Develop and maintain data transformation processes using SQL and DBT.
- Support sustainability reporting, analysis, and dashboarding solutions.
- Collaborate with business experts, sustainability specialists, and data engineers across multiple regions.
- Establish and govern architecture standards for sustainability analytics.
- Create scalable solutions supporting global product, supply chain, and operational sustainability requirements.
- Provide architectural guidance for Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and related reporting platforms.
- Drive data quality, governance, lineage, and master data consistency across multiple source systems.
- Support advanced analytics initiatives, including SuperBOM-related analyses and future sustainability data products.
Required Technical Skills
Data Platforms & Architecture
- Strong experience in Data Architecture and Enterprise Data Modeling.
- Strong knowledge of SAP data structures and enterprise data landscapes.
- Advanced SQL development skills.
- Experience with Snowflake Data Platform.
- Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
- Data warehousing and dimensional modeling expertise.
- Microsoft Power BI development and architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Knowledge of enterprise reporting and self-service analytics platforms.
- Dashboard design and performance optimization.
- Experience with modern cloud data architectures.
- Data integration and ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Data governance and metadata management principles.
- Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of sustainability concepts, ESG reporting, and sustainability analytics.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in global and cross-functional environments.
- Analytical mindset with a strong problem-solving orientation.
- Ability to connect multiple business streams and maintain an end-to-end perspective across sustainability initiatives.
- Experience with manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of Smart Infrastructure or Electrical Products business domains.
- Experience with product lifecycle and product sustainability data.
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks and sustainability regulations.
- Experience in international SAP landscapes.
- Exposure to Sustainability Reporting, Carbon Footprint, Circular Economy, or Product Compliance initiatives.
