Senior DBA (SQL) - Lisbon/Hybrid

Noesis is looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA). This professional will play a key role in ensuring the performance, stability, and reliability of the database platform, working closely with development and operations teams to maintain and continuously improve the environment.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation and administration of database platforms;
Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning and optimization initiatives;
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents and problems through to closure;
Identify opportunities to improve database performance, availability, and efficiency;
Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize queries, data models, and application interactions with databases;
Support monitoring, maintenance, and capacity management activities;
Contribute to the implementation of database administration best practices.

Profile

Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in production environments;
Strong knowledge of SQL;
Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database Hyperscale;
Knowledge of the vCore Database Model;
Experience with monitoring and performance analysis tools, preferably Redgate SQL Monitor;
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
Analytical mindset with attention to detail;
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
Fluent English is mandatory.

Nice To Have

Experience optimizing high-volume database environments;
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services;
Experience with database monitoring and automation practices.
