About the Role
Join our Finance team in Lisbon and gain hands-on experience across accounting, financial reporting, and compliance in an international business environment. Location: Alcântara, Lisbon, Portugal
Working Model: Full-time (40 hours per week) - Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
Salary: €23,000 – €25,000 base salary + Medical Insurance
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Support
Support daily accounting activities within the Record to Report (R2R) process
Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and support documentation
Contribute to month-end closing activities
Data & Reporting
Extract and validate financial data from ERP systems, including SAP and Cognos
Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules
Investigate discrepancies and assist in their resolution
Compliance & Controls
Ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails for assigned activities
Support the execution of internal controls and compliance requirements
Assist with internal and external audit processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R2R, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) teams
Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and validate accounting information
Support the resolution of operational and accounting-related issues
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Up to 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Shared Services, or a similar environment
Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Good communication skills in English
Proactive approach and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment
Preferred
Experience with SAP, Cognos, or similar ERP and reporting tools
Exposure to month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
Previous experience in a Shared Services Centre or multinational company
Internship or student experience within Finance or Accounting
