We are seeking an experienced MICE Sales Manager, based at the stunning Kimpton Atlântico Algarve The MICE Sales Manager will be responsible for driving MICE revenue across Highgate’s Portugal portfolio, developing strategic partnerships and identifying new business opportunities within the meetings, incentives, conferences and events segment. This role will play a key part in strengthening our market presence and positioning our hotels as preferred destinations for corporate and group events
Challenges you’ll love:
  • Develop and implement the MICE sales strategy to maximize revenue and market share across the portfolio.
  • Identify, negotiate and secure new business opportunities within the corporate, association, agency and incentive markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, event planners, DMCs, PCOs and industry partners.
  • Conduct sales calls, client presentations, networking activities, trade shows and industry events to promote our hotels.
  • Collaborate closely with hotel operations and revenue teams to ensure seamless event delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets and performance reports, ensuring achievement of established targets.
  • Represent Highgate Portugal in national and international sales missions and commercial initiatives.
What you need to shine in this role:
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in hotel sales, with a strong focus on the MICE segment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the Portuguese and international MICE markets.
  • Established network within the corporate events, meetings and incentives industry.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional languages will be highly valued.
  • Availability to travel nationally and internationally when required.
  • Experience working with hotel sales and CRM systems such as Opera, Delphi, Salesforce or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for hospitality, client service excellence and business development.
