Reporting to the Cultivation Supervisor (Propagation, Cultivation, IPM, Tissue Culture or designate); the Cultivation Lead will be responsible for safely carrying out the duties which support the growth and health of the plants.
The Cultivation Lead will follow standard operating procedures and document consistently to ensure the quality of the plants.
Responsabilidade / Role and Responsabilities
- Work with Cultivation Supervisor to mentor and oversee the performance of production technicians while maintaining a safe, clean and compliant workplace
- Ensure Batch Records, logbooks or other documentation relatd to crops, are maintained with on time entry and documentation are completed in relation to tasks and processes
- Ensure Labour Tracking data and matrixes are submitted on time to the Cultivation Supervisor for review and verification including ERP System
- Consistently evaluate worker safety, quality, SOP compliance and schedule status
- Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety
- Provide leadership for problem and conflict resolution
- Execute plant production activities with Supervisors
- Ensure greenhouse sanitation is completed and minor cleaning is performed as needed by Cultivation Technicians during the crop cycle in coordination with Cultivation Supervisor
- Any other duty deemed essential as requested by the Supervisor
- High School diploma preferred
- 1-year experience in a greenhouse or in agriculture is preferred
- Strong observational skills and prioritization of tasks
- Strong leadership skills and desire to learn
- Must have the ability to accurately document weights and measures
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Ability to continuously learn and implement Standard Operational Procedures and Good Manufacturing Praticies compliance
