BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Maintenance Administrative at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.


Key Accountabilities

    • Ensure the administrative management of spare parts (SPARES), including stock control, minimum levels, replenishment, and accurate records.
    • Manage the database of maintenance equipment, tools, and assets, ensuring proper identification, location, and status tracking.
    • Monitor material and equipment needs, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely availability.
    • Support the planning and organization of maintenance activities, ensuring the availability of required resources (materials, tools, and documentation).
    • Ensure the recording and follow-up of maintenance activities in the system, maintaining data accuracy and reliability.
    • Control and follow up on purchase requests related to maintenance, including order tracking and delivery deadlines.
    • Ensure proper organization, storage, and control of maintenance materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Provide operational support to shopfloor teams, ensuring timely availability of resources and facilitating communication between maintenance and production.
    • Promote standardization of maintenance administrative processes, contributing to operational efficiency and traceability.
    • Support the implementation of organizational best practices (e.g., Visual Management, 5S) within storage and material management areas.Contribute to the analysis of maintenance KPIs (stock levels, consumption, availability), supporting continuous improvement and a results-oriented approach
    • Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality and productivity standards
    • Comply with the organization's rules and internal regulations: Code of Ethics, Practice and Schedule
    • Respect workplace safety and cleanliness rules
    • Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
    • Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which he was hired, when the needs or convenience of the service justify it, for the period necessary for the said needs or conveniences of service
    • Shift: 8H-17H
    • Availability to change shifts

Education & Experience

  • Specialized training in mechanics, electromechanics, electronics, industrial maintenance, automation or similar area

  • Previous experience in a similar role will be valued

  • Solid knowledge of the operation of machines (mechanics, pneumatics, electronics, electricity, etc.), and/or test equipment

  • Problem Solving (5W; Ishikawa; PDCA; 8D) (preferred)

  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards

  • Computer knowledge from user's perspective

  • Knowledge in the context of in-line production and testing in the automotive industry (valued).

  • Conflict Management

  • Ability to make decisions

  • Technical/Functional Skills
