Functional Consultant — Enterprise Systems Selection and Implementation

The consultant will be integrated into the project team and will work directly with the client's process owners and key stakeholders.
Required Profile
- 4+ years of experience in functional or technology consulting, or equivalent advisory roles in information systems.
- Participation in at least one full enterprise software selection cycle (requirements gathering → RFI/RFP → demos and scoring → recommendation).
- Participation in at least one enterprise SaaS software implementation project (from the consulting, implementation partner, or client side).
- Strong functional knowledge of at least two of the following areas:
- Human Resources systems (HRIS/HCM)
- CRM platforms
- Project management and collaborative work management tools
- Familiarity with SaaS licensing models and TCO analysis.
- Experience facilitating workshops and managing business stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and deliverable-development skills (presentations, decision matrices, project plans, etc.).
- Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Languages Native/fluent Portuguese; professional English (preferred but not mandatory)
Mission
Lead, with a high degree of autonomy, the evaluation and selection process for solutions across the three business areas and support the procurement and adoption phases—ensuring structured deliverables, well-founded decision-making, and serving as the client's single point of contact.
Responsibilities
Evaluation, Selection, and Planning
- Facilitate discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with process owners across the three business areas.
- Conduct market research and develop vendor shortlists for each area using a common evaluation framework.
- Prepare and coordinate RFIs/RFPs and vendor demonstrations, including evaluation guides and structured scoring models.
- Develop decision matrices and recommendations for each area, considering functional, technical, integration, and organizational fit.
- Build a licensing and 3-year TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) model, including scenarios based on the number of users and departments.
- Design a phased rollout plan covering sequencing, dependencies, integrations, data migration, and risk management.
- Define the training strategy, including curricula by tool and user profile, delivery formats, and a train-the-trainer approach.
- Ensure overall project management and act as the client's single point of contact.
- Produce regular progress reports covering status, risks, issues, and key decisions.
- Support license procurement and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate solution setup and assist with initial system configuration in collaboration with vendors and implementation partners.
- Lead change management and user adoption activities, including communications, consolidation of support materials, and usage monitoring.
