Blade Features Engineer

Imagine being at the forefront of renewable energy innovation as a Blade Surface Features Engineer! You will lead the development and design of advanced Blade Surface Features, including aerodynamic add-on components and protection systems that optimize turbine efficiency and enhance blade durability. You will engage in planning, design, simulation, testing, and managing technical risks associated with blade features technologies. Your role is crucial in transforming technology development activities into successful new blade designs, factory production, and field implementation. You will collaborate with various teams to align new technologies with product requirements and improvement targets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will take ownership of Surface Features design for new blades, collaborating with technical designers, structural engineers, and product introduction engineers.
• You will lead technical risk management of new designs, including FMEA analysis, simulation, and validation activities.
• You will drive continuous improvement and innovation of surface features technologies.
• You will establish design standards to improve manufacturability and quality.
• You will manage projects and communication with internal and external stakeholders, effectively bridging the Blade Technology department with the broader organization.

What You Bring
You are passionate about renewable energy and dedicated to leading change.

• You hold a Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Physics Engineering, Wind Energy, or related fields.
• You have a strong technical and analytical approach, focusing on advanced modeling, design, validation, and integration.
• You are proactive in driving tasks to high standards and managing multiple assignments independently.
• You possess excellent communication skills, effectively interacting with team members across the organization.
• You are a collaborative teammate with strong English communication skills; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
