AWS Solution Architect & Tech Lead

Workplace: Braga (Hybrid)

Role:

• Design the software architecture for solutions and applications, as well as the cloud infrastructure;
• Design distributed systems with high availability, scalability and fault tolerance;
• Specify and document end-to-end solutions on AWS, ensuring best practices in terms of cost, security and performance;
• Develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda (Python);
• Structure the data layer in PostgreSQL (RDS);
• Guide the architecture of front-end applications in Angular, with integration via AppSync (GraphQL);
• Lead the development of solutions based on generative AI and agents;
• Make technical decisions and conduct architecture reviews;
• Lead the engineering team, ensuring high-quality, on-time deliveries;
• Translate the architecture into execution plans, organising the work and technical backlog with Product/PM;
• Ensure development best practices (code review, testing, CI/CD and observability);
• Support and mentor the team, helping to resolve technical challenges;
• Remove technical roadblocks and liaise with stakeholders on progress and risks;
• Ensure adherence to security, governance and compliance standards.

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology;
• Over 10 years’ professional experience in distributed systems architecture;
• At least 5 years’ experience with AWS solutions;
• Solid experience in software architecture (microservices, APIs and events);
• Experience as a Tech Lead or in leading technical teams;
• AWS certifications (preferred);
• Good knowledge of scalability, resilience and security;
• Experience in cloud security (IAM, networking, encryption);
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps culture;
• Fluency in English (C1/C2 level);
• Experience with generative AI (an advantage);
• Leadership, communication and teamwork skills;
• Results-oriented and a sense of responsibility.
