About the Role

This is the CEO's strategic right hand. The Chief of Staff operates at the intersection of business priorities and day-to-day execution, translating vision into action, managing cross-functional dependencies, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks at the leadership level.

This is not a task-doer role. This is the person who thinks three steps ahead, manages up and down, and ensures the whole machine is pointed in the right direction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as CEO's primary operational partner, own his priorities, follow through on commitments, and keep him informed without noise
  • Lead strategic projects end-to-end: from scoping to delivery to review
  • Own the business's operational health: software stack (HubSpot, Zapier, ClickUp, ClickFunnels), vendor relationships, cost audits, and escalations
  • Work closely with Marketing Strategist to ensure team direction and execution are aligned
  • Build and enforce reporting standards across the team: progressive updates, scorecard metrics, weekly summaries
  • Represent CEO's voice in cross-functional decisions when he is unavailable
  • Drive AI implementation strategy across the business; identify automation opportunities and lead rollouts
  • Manage the Operations Manager and coordinate with all team leads
  • Own training delivery and SOP migration across the team
  • Enforce new operational standards, hold team members accountable to defined ways of working
  • Own team growth: quarterly performance reviews against role standards, individual development plans, performance calls when someone is not levelling up


Who You Are
  • 5+ years in a Chief of Staff, Head of Operations, or senior business management role (startup or founder-led business experience strongly preferred)
  • Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves when needed
  • Exceptional communicator, written and verbal; can influence without authority
  • Deeply comfortable with ambiguity and rapid context-switching
  • Strong track record of building systems that outlast their creator
  • AI-literate and proactive about using tools to multiply output
  • Not easily destabilised, holds the line calmly under pressure


What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
  • CEO is no longer in the operations loop by default, only by choice
  • At least one major cross-functional project delivered end-to-end
  • Full visibility into software costs, with a savings or consolidation recommendation made
  • Training program delivered to every team member against their role standard
  • Quarterly review cadence established with documented development plans per person
  • At least one performance call made or escalated where someone is not meeting role standard
