At Copenhagen Coffee Lab, we believe that exceptional coffee experiences are created by exceptional people. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on District Manager to lead and support our cafés across Lisbon.
This is not a desk-based management role. We are looking for a leader who thrives in operations, enjoys being present in the cafés, and leads by example. As District Manager, you will spend a significant part of your time in our locations, working closely with Café Managers and teams to ensure operational excellence, outstanding guest experiences, and strong commercial performance.
About The Role
As District Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of multiple cafés in Lisbon. You will support, coach, and develop Café Managers while ensuring that our standards for coffee quality, food, service, and hospitality are consistently delivered.
You will act as the link between the café teams and senior management, helping to build strong teams, drive business results, and maintain the culture and values that define Copenhagen Coffee Lab.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop multiple café locations across Lisbon.
- Spend substantial time working operationally in the cafés, supporting teams and ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Coach and mentor Café Managers to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Drive sales, profitability, and overall business performance.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators across all locations.
- Ensure excellence in coffee quality, food presentation, customer service, and store operations.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop talent across the district.
- Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and operational guidelines.
- Support the opening and integration of new locations as the business continues to grow.
- Proven experience managing multiple units within hospitality, cafés, restaurants, or retail.
- A hands-on leader who enjoys being present in the operation and working closely with frontline teams.
- Strong leadership and people-development skills.
- Commercially minded with experience managing budgets, costs, and performance targets.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
- Passion for hospitality, specialty coffee, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
