Product Owner and Security Coordinator - Integrated Risk Management AI in Rail Projects (m/f/d)

Siemens Mobility is seeking a visionary Product Owner and Security Coordinator to lead the development of a groundbreaking AI-powered solution that will transform how we manage large-scale, safety-critical rail projects. In addition, you will act as Security Coordinator, being the central point of contact for all security-relevant topics within Siemens Mobility. You act as the interface between the business and the Siemens Corporate Security organization, playing a significant role in effectively implementing security standards, identifying risks early, and establishing a high level of security awareness and business continuity management within the global Siemens Mobility organization
Your Responsibilities
- Define & Drive Strategy: Shape the AI product strategy and roadmap for an integrated lessons learned and risk management AI along the project milestones, aligning closely with key business stakeholders to ensure our vision meets real-world needs in large scale project management
- Champion Security and Business Continuity: Identify, assess, and document security-relevant risks (related assets, properties, key personnel, etc) and support the planning, implementation and follow-up of risk mitigation measures in accordance with corporate security guidelines, standards and processes. Develop, maintain, and regularly update the organization's crisis management and business continuity plans ensuring alignment with corporate best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Uncover & Solve Problems: Investigate rail-specific use cases, identifying critical challenges such as cost overrun forecasting, progress tracking via data fusion, risk identification, and documentation, then craft AI solutions to address them. Lead the organization's response to potential business crises, coordinating cross-functional teams and providing clear direction for incident handling acting as central coordination instance between corporate security and business units/countries
- Champion Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensuring alignment and seamless communication across all levels. Promote risk awareness and security culture in the company and lead post-incident debriefs, document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of crisis management processes, procedures and tools
- Build Transformative Solutions: Close cooperation with and support of the businesses in understanding potential threats, in prioritizing and implementing business impact analysis (BIA) and BCM. Lead the creation of AI solutions that genuinely solve complex, industry-specific problems, delivering measurable value and efficiency.
Your Profile
- Project Management Acumen: Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, and collaboration dynamics within large-scale, multi-year projects in international companies
- Operational Excellence: E2E-process understanding for Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management process and proven track record of continuous improvement in these fields
- AI & Data Fluency: Practical AI and data literacy, enabling you to effectively build and guide the development of AI solutions for real-world challenges.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management: Outstanding ability to navigate and influence stakeholders, fostering agile delivery even within traditionally non-agile environments. High degree of initiative, reliability, and integrity along with the ability to handle multiple priorities and high stress situations
- Collaborative Spirit: Collaborative style to enable success across partners and hierarchy levels and drive for strong outcomes. Confident working across technical and non-technical teams, fostering a cohesive and productive environment.
- Technical Translator: The ability to seamlessly translate rail workflows into clear, actionable digital and AI features.
Your Background
- Education: University degree in Engineering, IT or related technical area, ideally combined with an MBA.
- Professional Experience: 6-10 years experience in production, technical project management or security and risk management in regulated industries (e.g., rail, automotive, aerospace, medtech).
- Business Acumen: Excellent understanding of business processes and a track record of successful collaboration within a large corporate context. Ability to provide executive level communications and strong intercultural competence.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, German and additional languages are a plus.
- Bonus Points: Having worked in both, a start-up and a corporate context.
