A call is open for the allocation of 1 (one) research fellowship for MSc - PhD students (BI), within the R&D Project Robota-SUDOE - Robótica, Automação e Digitalização como Motores de Competitividade e Crescimento das PME, Ref.: S1/1.1/P0125, funded by Interreg-SUDOE, taking place at the C-MAST - Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technology, Department of Electromechanical Engineering of the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, under the following conditions:

Objectives:
(1) Creation of an action plan for the implementation of the cooperation network; (2) Support for the integration of a multimodal perception system (vision - tactile - IMUs); (3) Development of sensorised robotic systems based on soft or adaptive grippers; (4) Implementation of 3 collaborative robot demonstrators in a real production environment; (5) Implementation of 3 living labs for the integration and demonstration of the results achieved within the scope of the project; (6) The expected outcome of the research work requires at least 2 in an international conference and 2 in an international peer-reviewed journal during the scholarship period.
Work plan:

Place of Work:
The work will be developed at the premises of C-MAST‐Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technologies and Department of Electromechanical Engineering of the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, under the scientific guidance of Professor Pedro Dinis Gaspar.
Fellowship duration and conditions:
The fellowship is scheduled to start in June 2024 for a period of 12 months.The activity is in the regime of exclusive dedication in accordance with the RBIUBI.

Publication/notification of results:
