We are looking for an Accounting intern (Porto-based) to be part of our global teams shared between Portugal and Africa!

What you will be doing

• Perform Accounts Receivable (AR) analysis:
• Review and analyse AR reports to identify outstanding balances and trends
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues related to customer payments and invoices
• Prepare regular AR reports for management review
• Book AR transactions:
• Enter and update AR transactions accurately and timely in the accounting system
• Reconcile AR records with supporting documentation
• Monitor customer responses in emails to ensure that claims are promptly addressed and resolved
• Assist in month-end close preparing journal entries
• Support ad-hoc accounting tasks
  

What we are looking for

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Good understanding of Accounting principles
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
