Software Engineer (Data) - #241938

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our data backend team. With us you will design and develop our patented software suite that detects, classifies, and identifies physical assets that pose cyber risks in enterprise networks. You will use the latest technologies to build a robust end-to-end event-driven system, following agile methodologies.

Main responsibilities

• Design and build an intelligent risk assessment and control event-driven system
• Apply development and testing best practices and CI/CD methodologies across the SDLC: containerized deployment, K8S, automation, etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems
• Advocate engineering best practices

Essential skills & experience

• 4+ years’ experience coding in Python (preferably in a large-scale / corporate environment)
• 2+ years’ experience writing scalable backend services in microservices / SOA / functional architecture
• Experience developing event-driven / eventually consistent systems
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
• Passionate, innovative, and thorough: research, invent and implement!
• Good verbal and written communication skills (fluent English)
• BSc/MSc in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent

Nice to have

• Understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
• Knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Storm, Apache Flink or similar
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms
• Experience with using Redis as an application DB
• Familiarity with security and compliance laws and standards such as: PCI-DSS, HIPAA or SOC2, ISO 27001 and GDPR
