Research fellowship for MSc student (Grant Robota_Lic1) - #239744

A call is open for the allocation of 1 (one) research fellowship for MSc student (BI), within the R&D Project Robota-SUDOE - Robótica, Automação e Digitalização como Motores de Competitividade e Crescimento das PME, Ref.: S1/1.1/P0125, funded by Interreg-SUDOE, taking place at the C-MAST - Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technology, Department of Electromechanical Engineering of the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, under the following conditions:

Scientific Area:

Eletromechanical Engineering

Objectives:

(1) Support for the integration of a multimodal perception system (vision - tactile - IMUs); (2) Development of sensorised robotic systems based on soft or adaptive grippers; (3) Implementation of robotic arm manipulation strategies through the application of AI-based algorithms; (4) The expected outcome of the research work requires at least 1 in an international conference and 1 in an international peer-reviewed journal during the scholarship period.

Work plan:

Place of Work:

The work will be developed at the premises of C-MAST‐Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Sciences and Technologies and Department of Electromechanical Engineering of the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, under the scientific guidance of Professor Pedro Dinis Gaspar.

Fellowship duration and conditions:

The fellowship is scheduled to start in June 2024 for a period of 7 months. The activity is in the regime of exclusive dedication in accordance with the RBIUBI.

Publication/notification of results:
