Summary: There is an open call for one (1) Research Initiation Grant (“Bolsa de Iniciação à Investigação”) at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in the scope of the Project QSNP. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Digital European Programme under the project "Portuguese Quantum Communication Infrastructure" (PTQCI, grant agreement No 101091730).

Work Objectives: Contribute to the design and implementation of a numerical platform to test the performance and security bounds of a discrete-variable quantum key distribution system with conjugate homodyne detection.

Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Armando Pinto.

Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of renewal. This type of scholarship has a maximum duration of 1 year. Start date: May 2024 or soon thereafter.
