We are looking for a Trainee for our Procurement department in Maia, Porto (Portugal).
MISSION
Development of Supplier Relationship programs and internal procurement optimizations.
CONTEXT
Frulact a large internationally recognized company within the fruit preparations sector has experienced exponential growth in the past few years. With over 10 factories on 3 continents and more than 900 employees. With the rapid growth of the company procurement processes and supplier relationships are becoming increasingly inefficient. The aim of the present study is to identify the non-value-added activities within the Procurement department. A set of rules and processes are to be established between Procurement, other departments, and external partners to reduce efficiencies to the bare minimum level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Trainee you will be shadowing Global Category Managers to accompany them in:
- Researching, comparing, evaluating and approving products and services from potential vendors;
- Preparing and reviewing tender documentation and contracts;
- Negotiating prices and terms of agreement with suppliers.
- Maintaning and updating records of purchased products, delivery information, invoices and supplier information
These tasks will complete the study of optimizing Procurement efforts within the company and with key suppliers to develop sustainable Supplier Relationship Programs.
