We are recruiting a Commercial Director for a leading company in the maritime and logistics sector.

O que terás de fazer

- Create and implement a comprehensive sales action plan that translates the strategy into actionable steps;

- Define the local Commercial Strategy to achieve the Group Objectives, to guarantee a strong and consistent revenue stream, and volume of activity;

- Establish and lead a highly effective sales team responsible for managing their assigned customer portfolio. Guide them to identify potential growth opportunities and convert them into new business wins.

- Coach and manage Commercial team through regular meetings and joint visits / calls;

- Develop sales activities aligned with group objectives;

- Implement performance management tools to track the sales team's progress against the group strategy. Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary. Analyze sales performance data through dashboards and suggest adjustments as needed;

- Champion the adoption of new products and services among customers and potential clients;

- Regularly analyse market data and provide reports to senior management and regional teams. Propose action plans to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks;

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) consistently and modify the strategy and action plan as necessary to maximize results.

- Identify commercial opportunities in the market to expand market share and/or increase revenue in line with the overall sales strategy.

- Lead and mentor the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge.

- Make sure the team is fully able to sell maritime and non-maritime products as per strategy;

- Guide the sales team through market shifts, internal adjustments, and external disruptions, fostering an adaptable and resilient team.

O que deves garantir

- Degree in management or relevant areas;

- Strong Knowledge in Shipping and / or Freight Forwarding business (minimum 10+ Years of experience);

- Requirement for an individual who has strong knowledge and culture of Short-Sea Door to Door business;

- Strong Management and Leadership Skills;

- Languages: Fluent in Portuguese and English;

- Previous experience in Salesforce platform;

- Analytical mindset with ability to use data to drive decision making;

- Passion for delivering excellent Customer Experience;

- Effective communication skills (Ability to articulate various business scenarios with customers, senior business leaders & middle management);

- Demonstration of professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations;

- Must be able to prioritize work effectively and manage time efficiently;

- Flexible and open to change.
