Integration Engineer works within IT team and is responsible for identifying business requirements, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures, supporting implementations, change management and following compliance guidance.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical, analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organisation. We are seeking a self-motivated & team-oriented professional, with a bias towards action, who can recognise and make process improvement recommendations and identify new and creative opportunities to leverage Business Applications to support additional business processes or functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining integration processes between applications across the cloud and/or on-premise using cloud integration, application integration and enterprise web service APIs.
  • Develop and maintain API specifications, data mappings, and integration workflows.
  • Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and support existing integrations.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise and work with architects, other tech leads, and business analysts to ensure development activities are aligned with scope, schedule, priority and business objectives.
  • Analyse integration requirements and perform gap analysis; create technical design documents and maintain source/destination field mapping library.
  • Review process documentation to determine automation capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to test and improve efficiency of systems.
  • Identify scope and impact chain to develop implementation plans.
  • Create and program automation processes to optimize goal setting, estimation, scheduling, option identification, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase performance and quality of data.
  • Document integration processes, technical specifications, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging integration technologies, tools, and best practices.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with integration platforms such as Workato, or similar.
  • Strong proficiency in API development and integration using REST, SOAP, or other protocols.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with web services, API’s, webhooks and other means of exchanging data between platforms and applications, including the ability to develop processes mapped to those interfaces
  • 2+ years' experience working with IT processes in heavy usage environments (such as technical migrations, repeating and rapid go-lives, or other technical consulting working that included consistent implementation of technology and processes).
  • Experience with various protocols/methods of communication, including JDBC/SQL/RDBMS, XML, XML Schemas, REST, JSON, and SFTP.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based integration services.
  • Prior experience in integration and automation among enterprise applications such as Salesforce, JIRA, Monday.com, and Domo
  • Strong proficiency in automation around IAM technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Knowledge of key applications such as Salesforce, Netsuite, Coupa, Ultipro, ITSM, Databases, etc is desirable
  • Working knowledge on Incident Management and Change Management process.
  • Experience in creating business requirements documentation as an input to application design.
