To support our continuous growth, we are looking for a rigorous, detail-oriented, and motivated Accountant to join our finance team in Lisbon.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be an integral part of our finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across our luxury retail and hospitality operations. Your main tasks will include:
- Day-to-Day Accounting: Processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, bank statements, and general ledger entries.
- Month-End & Year-End Closing: Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines.
- Tax Compliance: Preparing and submitting statutory tax returns (VAT, IRC, Retentions, and other local tax obligations).
- Asset Management: Monitoring fixed assets, depreciations, and inventory accounting, particularly coordinating with retail and F&B teams.
- Intercompany Reconciliation: Managing and reconciling balances between different business units within the group.
- Audit Support: Assisting with external and internal audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Profile & Requirements
We are looking for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a strong sense of responsibility:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience in accounting, ideally within the retail, hospitality, or luxury sectors. (Experience in a "Big 4" or reputable audit firm is a plus).
- Technical Skills: * Solid knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards (SNC) and tax legislation.
- Proficiency in ERP software (experience with SAP, Primavera, or similar systems is highly valued).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and a professional working proficiency in English are required.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative team spirit.
