THE ROLE
We are looking for a #TechTalent to work as a Business Data Analyst for a national project.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Gather and analyze requirements from business stakeholders, data owners, and regulatory teams.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications (user stories, acceptance criteria, data‑model diagrams).
- Create and maintain documentation (requirements catalog, data dictionary, process maps, test plans).
- Facilitate test planning by participating in design test cases
- Communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders through sprint demos, status reports and reviews.
- Identify improvement opportunities in the transversal framework, propose enhancements.
- Collaborate with the ETL development team to design optimal data‑flow and transformation logic.
- Define, implement, and maintain the data‑quality framework (rules, thresholds, validation checks).
- Proven professional experience in similar roles.
- SQL development skills (Oracle is the DB used).
- PL/SQL development skills.
- IBM Datastage PX and/or other similar ETL tools.
- Agile Project‑Management Tools – Manage backlogs, user stories, and traceability in Jira or Azure DevOps; ensure requirements are linked to test cases and delivery artifacts.
- Data Analysis & Visualization – Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistical summarization, and create visual insights (Power BI, Tableau, or Excel) to support requirement‐gathering and decision‑making.
- Data‑Quality & Profiling Techniques – Use data‑profiling methods to define validation rules, cleansing procedures, and quality‑metric dashboards.
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese (written & spoken), proficiency in French is a plus.
