Job Description

This position is accountable for the management of Distribution and Transportation activities in Iberia (Spain and Portugal)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • He/she will manage compilation and publication of standardized Deliver metrics/dashboards for the relevant countries
  • Support for the execution and deployment of Cluster initiatives
  • Provide support to Quality in audits and investigation of incidents.
  • Will monitor transactional day-by-day distribution activities, to prevent and solve operational issues with special focus on urgent deliveries. Supervise and monitor all processes in the inbounds from J&J plants, pick&pack and final distribution to customers, ensuring the completion in time and compliance, and with the lowest cost of the logistics activities
  • Supervise daily stock reconciliation and monitor idoc status. Ensures inventory accuracy. Coordinates with Demand, Quality and 3PL the destruction of SLOBs products on a timely and compliance manner.
  • Liase with Customer Service and 3PL to ensure daily pick&pack and shipping will be in line with required production.
  • Daily communication with Planning, CS, QA and LSP to effectively and efficiently support distribution activity. Provides support in launch of new products.
  • Manage day to day relationship with 3PL analyzing performance, KPIs (On Time Delivery, On Time Shipment, Overage, shortage and damages, etc), costs and compliance
  • Monitor and solve logistics incidents on a timely and efficient manner (damage product, late delivery, picking errors, etc.)
  • Oversee accurate billing based on pricing established.
  • Audits vendor invoices and month-end processing to incorporate finance accruals. (Accruals, Financial monitoring and metrics)
  • Participate on projects as needed

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, or any other business studies
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance or the like preferably within FMCG or healthcare industry
  • LEAN and/or 6 sigma experiences is a plus.
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Local language skills (Spanish and Portuguese)
  • Knowledge of WMS and TMS Applications, SAP
  • Experience in Distribution or Logistics
  • Background of working with 3PL providers and/or major retail/wholesale organizations.
  • Strong customer focus
  • Knowledge of GDP requirements.
