At PwC, a career in the Risk & Quality team, within the PwC Tax and Legal Line of Services (TLS), will provide you with the opportunity to help the TLS business teams to demonstrate a high level of quality and achieve a high standard of risk management compliance, fully meeting their R&Q obligations established globally by the PwC Network and locally among others, by the Portuguese regulators (CMVM). Your involvement in the R&Q team on its day-to-day challenges and consultations, will improve the teams performance and at the same time, your knowledge on risk management and independence standards applicable at PwC.

The role

Our R&Q team supports the improvement of risk and quality compliance on the Network and local policies and procedures, helping the Firm to achieve high quality standards and maintain its reputation. Using solid knowledge in R&Q matters you will help the team and the Tax Business Support Services teams to better apply internal and network rules, generating quality and improving compliance levels which are crucial for the continuity of the PwC brand. We also expect you to enhance the use of technology on R&Q matters/tasks. You will work together with the R&Q teams from the Assurance and Advisory Line of Service and central R&Q teams, such as KYC/AML team and the Audit Independence team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Respond to day-to-day R&Q queries from the business teams and the TLS Business Support Services Team;
  • Analyse and evaluate existing processes and controls identifying possible best practices/automation;
  • Contacts with central R&Q teams and Assurance/Advisory R&Q teams;
  • Develop and execute audit tests (mandatory and non-mandatory);
  • Prepare reports to document audits and procedures (drawing conclusions and including recommendations and corrective actions);
  • Monitor recommendations/corrective actions;
  • Participate in R&Q Panels and prepare minutes of the meetings;
  • Contribute to the achievement of the R&Q annual plan;
  • Assist and participate in the Annual R&Q Network Report.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Design, History, Art or other;
  • Minimum experience of 3 years in R&Q team of a Big 4, Law Firms, other consultancy Firms or Banks;
  • Proficient in both oral and written English;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and data analysis tools;
  • Strong analytical skills. Handle, manipulate and analyse data and information responsibly;
  • Critical thinking, responsibility, organizational and planning skills;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Teamwork oriented;
  • Communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner - verbally and in the materials that you produce.
