Strategic People Business Partner

We are looking for a HR Business Partner with a strong drive to lead strategic initiatives, developing talent, and shaping a culture of inclusion, growth, and performance. If you are a strategic thinker with strong people skills and a desire to make a real impact, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities: 

• Strategic HR Leadership
• Define and execute HR strategies that support business goals. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all people-related matters.
• Talent Acquisition & Development
• Lead recruitment and selection efforts to attract top talent. Drive talent management programs such as performance reviews, career development, and succession planning.
• Employee Experience & Engagement
• Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, wellbeing and overall satisfaction.  
• Learning & Development
• Collaborate with leadership to design and implement professional development and training programs that foster career growth and organizational effectiveness.
• Compensation & Benefits
• Manage competitive and business-aligned compensation and benefits policies.
• Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I)
• Lead DE&I efforts across the Sonae Group, ensuring inclusive practices are embedded in all HR processes.

Main Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. 
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in human resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. 
• Proven track record of managing HR functions, including recruitment, talent development, and employee engagement. 
• Experience in strategic HR planning and organizational development. 
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English is required. 

Work location: 

• The role will be based at Sonae headquarters in Maia. 
• Hybrid mode (following company policy: 3 days at the office).
