You’ll own the Performance Line’s commercial strategy by defining where to play (which customer segments, channels, countries, etc.) and how to win (product & price strategy, supply chain setup, product marketing strategy, etc.).
What you'll do:
- Lead the European product assortment strategy for our Performance mattress line, monitoring and improving 3 key metrics: absolute contribution margin, return rate, and NPS.
- Pair deep market & customer insights with internal company capabilities to define concrete winning 4Ps (product, price, place, and promotion) for the assortment.
- Product & Price: define the right products and features at the right quality & cost levels for sustained profitable growth.
- Place: defining the assortment between e-commerce, offline channels, and wholesales to maximize coverage while minimizing channel conflict and cannibalization.
- Promotion: understand the key communication levers for the target customer segment that maximizes profitable awareness-to-conversion.
- Work with the necessary teams to define, test, and scale various go-to-market executions for each of the 4Ps, e.g., Product Development & Supply Chain to launch new products, and Marketing for campaigns.
- Align central teams and countries around clear priorities, product launches, updates & phase outs, and product promotional initiatives.
- As part of the Category Management Team, your main role is that of a strategist and project manager, where you will work closely in project or squad teams with domain/functional experts to ensure the strategy is both properly defined, executed, and refined.
- 5+ years of experience in category management, assortment planning, product management, or product marketing, ideally from consumer goods organizations.
- Strong business acumen with a sharp eye for understanding and prioritizing key commercial levers.
- You’re structured, data-driven, and confident working with cross-functional stakeholders across markets.
- You have an innate curiosity for understanding consumer preferences, going beyond the obvious or superficial to find winning “a-ha” insights for a winning strategy.
- You pair deep insight & knowledge with pragmatism to craft commercial tests and go-to-market plans within reasonable budgets and timeframes.
- You are passionate about the nitty-gritty of products, without necessarily being a product engineer, designer, or developer yourself.
- You’ve owned your own category, product, or brand P&L and successfully grown it profitably. You have hands-on experience driving commercial testing, go-to-market, and scale-up efforts.
- At Emma, you’ll find a culture of freedom, impact, and zero politics. We give you full ownership from day one and expect you to move fast, think big, and grow even faster.
- Pet-friendly environment, where you can bring your furry desk buddy;
- Discounts on our top-notch products;
- Health insurance including dentist;
- 24 days holidays/year +1 day/year at Emma (máx. 29 days);
- The opportunity to collaborate with multinational teams;
- Exciting events that aren't just team-building exercises but opportunities to create epic memories;
