The primary purpose of the Payroll Technician is to ensure the correct payment of the Sidul employees and retirees under the supervision of the Payroll Coordinator.

The primary purpose of the Payroll Technician is to ensure the correct payment of the Sidul employees and retirees under the supervision of the Payroll Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all payroll administration, payroll data entry and input into SAP
- Submission of monthly payroll data to Primavera, reconciling and identifying corrections required
- Maintain regular contact with Primavera to ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll and payment to employees
- Process employee benefits and associated expenses: Medical Assistance, Transportation, and other benefits
- Train and support employees with the payroll Operating System – TES (Time Entry System) or other system that may be implemented
- Support payroll audits and provide necessary information to Auditors
- Maintaining payroll procedures in line with legal or contractual changes
- Prepare necessary statutory documents and reports as required for compliance with legal requirements
- Respond to employee payroll queries
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports required by the business e.g., cost, accrual, and actual worked hours reports
- Create/Update payroll procedures/configuration as required to reflect changes in contractual terms or statutory rules
- The ability to meet strict deadlines and work autonomously
- A good level of numeracy, literacy, and computer skills
- Good knowledge of Portuguese Labor Law
- Good communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Methodical approach with good problem-solving skills
- Experience of at least 2 years running a payroll through its entire cycle, both monthly and annually (preference in a multinational company)
- Experience in multi countries payroll will be an advantage
- SAP experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related areas or extensive expirience in similar role
- Fluent in English
