Our client is a fast-growing green tech start-up based in Coimbra, Portugal, focused on making sustainability happen in the real world and real businesses. With proven expertise in the circular economy field, they have recently raised a €3M seed round to amplify their impact: every item circulated through their platform contributes to a greener footprint.

The team is driven, passionate, and motivated to deliver the best circular economy solutions to customers and partners. They are now looking for an experienced AI Engineer to play a key role in integrating advanced AI capabilities into their SaaS platform dedicated to circular economy and reverse logistics.

Responsibilities :

• Design and implement AI-driven features to enhance system usability and automation.
• Develop AI tools for product identification, classification, pricing, and value assessment.
• Streamline delivery and integration processes for new customers using AI technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI improvement opportunities.
• Ensure AI initiatives align with the product vision and sustainability goals.
• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and evaluate their application potential.
• Deploy and maintain AI models within the existing platform ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Apply best practices in data management and model training.
  
  

Profile sought :

Education :

Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related field.

Technical Skills :

• Solid experience developing and deploying AI features within software products.
• Strong proficiency in AI frameworks and programming languages such as Python or Ruby.
• Hands-on experience with NLP, Computer Vision, and Predictive Analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI-related services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• A passion for sustainability and knowledge of circular economy principles is a plus.
