As a System and V&V Engineer, you will be part of an international and multidisciplinary team, working on the Specification, Engineering Verification, Validation, and Qualification (SEV&V) of cutting-edge solutions for our clients. The Air Mobility Solutions (AMS) SEV&V team is responsible for contributing to the specification, testing, and qualification of TopSky and AMHS solutions, participating across the full lifecycle—from concept definition to system design, integration, and final qualification.
This role offers the opportunity to work in an exciting and technically challenging domain, integrating air traffic control and information management systems with advanced sensor technologies. These complex systems incorporate solutions in data processing, information management, user interface design, and real-time sensor data visualization.

As a System and V&V Engineer, you will be part of an international and multidisciplinary team, working on the Specification, Engineering Verification, Validation, and Qualification (SEV&V) of cutting-edge solutions for our clients. The Air Mobility Solutions (AMS) SEV&V team is responsible for contributing to the specification, testing, and qualification of TopSky and AMHS solutions, participating across the full lifecycle—from concept definition to system design, integration, and final qualification.
This role offers the opportunity to work in an exciting and technically challenging domain, integrating air traffic control and information management systems with advanced sensor technologies. These complex systems incorporate solutions in data processing, information management, user interface design, and real-time sensor data visualization.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to understand and define system objectives and requirements.
- Develop infrastructure engineering definitions and system design documentation.
- Translate customer needs into clear engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Design Authorities to ensure TopSky deployments are delivered on time and to specification.
- Provide operational and functional support to both end users and internal engineering teams.
- Investigate and resolve technical queries.
- Write and execute test cases to validate system requirements.
- Track and validate Problem/Change Reports (PCRs), coordinating with relevant engineering disciplines.
- Conduct validation tests alongside customer representatives during Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT & SAT).
- Prepare detailed test reports and present results to management and external clients.
- Engineering Teams: Collaborate to ensure timely and high-quality engineering outcomes.
- Project Delivery Teams: Provide technical input to support project execution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Degree in Engineering (e.g., Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications) or Air Traffic Control.
- Proven experience in systems engineering, verification, and validation of complex systems—preferably within the Air Traffic Control domain.
- Hands-on experience in test preparation and execution, including documentation, defect analysis, and issue tracking.
- Previous experience in the Air Traffic Control domain is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel internationally for up to 1 month, every 2–3 months.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work in a hybrid model: 3 days on-site + 2 remote, with a medium-term transition to full on-site (office located in Quinta da Fonte, Paço de Arcos).
