About The Job

• The candidate will work closely with the Distressed Credit team based in London, focusing on the analysis of distressed borrowers, working alongside senior analysts to aid the traders with risk management and to provide the salesforce with original content the purpose of developing client activity
  
  

Your Main Activities

• Support senior team members with day-to-day activities, with a core focus on credit analysis and due diligence, covering strategic/commercial, financial, legal aspects (debt documentation and analysis of restructuring scenarios)
• Participate in internal meetings with sales and trading
• Take part in client calls to discuss specific opportunities
  
  

Profile And Skills To Success

• Master's in Finance
• Coursework must include financial markets, accounting and corporate finance
• Good understanding of financial markets, with a keen interest in investing (including personal investments)
• Proeficient in Office pack (Excel)
• Fluent in English
• Confidence with basic commercial / finance law principles is a plus
• Proficiency in financial modelling; must be able to complete a 3-statement model
  
  

About The Team

• Within Global Markets, Global Credit is responsible for the primary (new issuance) and secondary trading of corporate (fins and non-fins) debt and related instruments such as CDS, indices, options and structured products. It comprises different roles such as syndicate, debt capital markets, trading, sales, structuring, desk analysts and desk strategists
• The Credit360 team is part of Global Credit and is responsible for the in-depth fundamental credit analysis of corporates and sectors, monitoring of trading risk, generation of trade ideas, marketing of trade ideas and views on the market to institutional investors via regular write-ups
