The purpose of the Medical Education Professional role in Portugal is responsible for designing and implementing educational activities and projects, aligned with the strategy, and oriented to reduce suboptimal care and improve patient outcomes through appropriate education to Health Care Professionals (HCPs)
The Medical Education Professional provides high-quality omnichannel medical education programs with a special focus on therapeutic areas with a high clinical care gap. Is also required to establish and perform the pipeline strategy plan according to priorities, which includes high focus on pre-launch plans and activities. With a cross-functional approach the Medical Education Professional is responsible of keeping effective collaborations with academic institutions, medical societies, scientific experts, and key medical education stakeholders to deliver first class medical education programs. The Medical Education Professional is also responsible for the management of logistics, budget, and resources for planning, implementing and measuring the impact of the programs.

Primary Responsibilities
Development and implementation of the Educational Plan:
- Transform customer education needs into successfully implemented therapeutic area educational solutions in alignment with the clinical care gap, at national and local levels
- Lead the design, development and dissemination of the medical education omnichannel strategy.
- Deliver local high-quality medical education to support the continuing professional development of HCPs through local face to face solutions and integrated omnichannel engagement
- Effective collaboration with key medical stakeholders (thought leaders, scientific experts, medical societies, associations and institutions)
- Identify, develop, establish, maintain, and manage strategic collaborations to deliver high-quality medical education.
- Work effectively with internal stakeholders and support the implementation of the medical education functional strategy and operational plan within the respective therapeutic area/geography.
- Master or Bachelor level degree in health sciences and with at least 2 years of research experience or industry experience.
- PhD level degree or Postgraduate studies in Pharmaceutical Medicine or Clinical Research.
- Bilingual in Portuguese and English .
- Travel requirements according to Business needs
- Strategic vision and experience in data driven tailored effective communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including capability to engage in professional relationship building and networking.
- Demonstrated success in self-managing priorities and multi-tasking projects.
- Ability to work effectively and share information within a team environment.
- Able to live and work in Portugal
