Business Segment Overview:

Commercial : With boots on the ground authenticity at the heart of everything we do, our comprehensive array of commercial products and services enable you to work directly with our clients, across hedging, risk management, execution and clearing, OTC products, commodity finance and more.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include:

Office Manager

  • Manage office operations and daily office activities ensuring a clean and organized workspace and maintain office equipment and arrange necessary repairs,
  • Supply management: order, monitor and manage office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels,
  • Communication and customer service: respond to customer inquiries and provide general office support for customers and visitors,
  • Vendor relationship: Coordinate the general office maintenance with appropriate vendors: electrical/water systems, air conditioning, internet/Wi-Fi, etc.. and manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease,
  • Address employee’s queries regarding office management issues (stationery, hardware, travel arrangements,..),
  • Budget Management: Manage the office budget, track expenses and ensure compliance with company procedures,
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, HR policies, and operational standards.


Quality Control

  • Maintenance of the laboratory in Lisbon:


Roasting and cupping coffee samples in Lisbon.

Manage sample labelling and identification in Lisbon Lab.

Manage timely dispatch of samples to clients and record their feedback.

Record cupping results and report to Operations and Trade Dept’s.

Report to Trading Department on Quality Research projects until training is complete

  • Coordination – Labs Lisbon / Addis Ababa:


Continuous improvement of existing Quality procedures for the labs in Lisbon and Addis (roast, grind, weights).

Calibrate with Addis – with emphasis on defect detection.

Travel to Addis/Varginha as requested by the company to train and understand all Quality procedures.

Keep quality and sample information of both labs centralized through a shared access Ethiopia-Lisbon.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Fluent English and Portuguese, any other languages are a plus
  • Good proficiency with Word, Excel and outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Barista experience at Starbucks or in Coffee chain
  • Experience in quality control is a plus
  • Good customer service skills and hands-on experience with data management tools and office software programs
  • Able to work and perform within a fast- growing business keeping motivation and contributing to the business expansion and success


Working environment:

  • In-office 100%, every day
  • Part Time (50%)
  • Half days, preferably in the morning with exception when travelling
  • Travel to Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Varginha (Brazil) if needed
