About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive Finance & HR Specialist to join our team. This role combines responsibilities across accounting, invoicing, payroll, and both operational and financial reporting. It plays a key role in ensuring internal processes run smoothly and in compliance with applicable regulations.


This is a remote-first position, but we do value face-to-face time. We meet occasionally in Lisbon for team alignment and collaboration, so the ability to join us in person now and then is important.

What you'll be doing:


Finance & Accounting

  • Manage monthly invoicing processes (clients and suppliers), ensuring accuracy and compliance;
  • Record expenses, revenues, bank movements, taxes and other mandatory transactions in coordination with our external accounting partner;
  • Prepare and monitor monthly financial reports (P&L, cash flow, forecasts, etc.);
  • Support monthly and year-end closing processes;
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, and maintain relationships with suppliers and clients.


HR & Payroll

  • Coordinate the monthly payroll process;
  • Ensure legal and tax compliance regarding employment and compensation;
  • Support the implementation of compensation and benefits policies;
  • Produce HR-related reports (e.g. headcount, personnel costs).


Reporting & Operational Support

  • Prepare and deliver financial and operational dashboards to support business decisions;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to analyze and interpret financial and operational data;
  • Support budget planning and cost control initiatives.


What we're looking for:
  • Based in Portugal (mandatory);
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, invoicing, and payroll processes;
  • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools;
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail;
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.


Nice to Have:
  • Experience with accounting/ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV);
  • Background in service-based environments;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
