Our client is looking for a project manager that will supervise the construction process and asset management of a portfolio of renewable projects to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and cost control across the Portuguese market. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in renewable energy project construction and strong contract management skills, especially within the solar energy sector.

Principais responsabilidades
During Construction Phase:
- Supervise the construction of renewable energy assets, including photovoltaic (PV) and wind projects;
- Oversee EPC contractors, third parties, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contractual terms;
- Ensure compliance with building permits and all other relevant regulatory requirements during construction;
- Supervise and monitor all stages of works execution;
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, technical specifications, quality standards, and health & safety (HSE) requirements.
During Operational Phase:
- Oversee the technical asset management of operational PV and wind assets;
- Monitor the activities of service providers (Asset Management & O&M) to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards;
- Maintain active communication with key stakeholders, including service providers, landowners, government entities, and market participants;
- Understand the key commercial and technical obligations defined in project-level contracts (SPVs);
- Supervise fulfillment of contractual, technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements;
- Review and monitor Site Preventative Maintenance Plans (PMP) and performance outcomes;
- Monitor cybersecurity protocols and implementation;
- Review maintenance reports, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure strong supervision of contractual, legal, technical, and commercial obligations throughout all phases;
- Promote full compliance with HSE standards and quality control procedures;
- Interpret and review design drawings; engage with contractors, designers, and certification engineers when needed;
- Monitor project budgets and cost control in line with contractual terms;
- Oversee contracting and tendering processes;
- Prepare regular project status reports, identify risks, and propose mitigation measures;
- Supervise payment approval workflows and document control according to project schedules;
- Facilitate internal coordination across departments such as Finance, Legal, Development, and Asset Management;
- Review service provider policies, procedures, and performance for contractual and legal compliance;
- Track and report on technical and operational KPIs;
- Support the implementation of improvement and optimization initiatives;
- Contribute to reporting activities, both technical and operational;
- Provide technical support during M&A processes and due diligence activities.
Perfil desejado
- Proven experience in utility-scale wind & solar PV projects;
- Strong contract management (EPC, O&M, Asset Management);
- Autonomous, proactive, and collaborative approach;
- Solid understanding of financial, legal & contractual frameworks;
- Skilled in data analysis & reporting tools;
- Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement;
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Valid driver's license & available to travel.
